Celtic Sword Club Fees 2011/12
As some of you wil be aware, our rent for the hall has doubled recently and we have attempted to keep costs the same but we have to cover the increased rent.
To assist with the cash flow we are imposing a MANDATORY monthly Standing Order payment, (or annual payment at start of year) this is to ensure the monthly income matches the expenditure and ensures we can pay the rent ( hundreds of pounds) each month. We will no longer be able to accept payment weekly, monthly or for each term in cash or by cheque.
The following charges are based on an average term of 15 weeks, and are aimed at keeping rates low whilst encouraging members to commit to Standing Order paymenst as this helps the club meet its ongoing costs. We would like to point out that unlike other clubs, Gareth, Faith and Steve are not paid in any way to coach, we give our time freely,fees are only used to pay for the venue and buy more equipment.
We have 2 basic rates, one for those who wish to "borrow" club kit and another for those who have purchased some of their own- see below.
NOTE: - For those who wish to buy their own fencing equipment. The club can also supply SUBSIDISED kit, not club discounts but actualy subsidised from club funds in addition to any discounts we negotiate. This is ONLY available to members and subject to availability but an example is NEW FRONT ZIP FENCING JACKET - £20 and 800N PLASTRON - £20. This offer is only our attemp to encourage members to buy their own kit to allow the club kit to be used by new members ( WE HAVE A WAITING LIST for beginners !!!).
Beginners Lessons
£60 for (at least) 10 lessons plus £10 insurance - BF Social Membership ( until end of term), then welcome to join the following term - see below.
Experienced fencers (must have current BF membership)
Fencing with own kit must have jacket, plastron, breeches, mask, chest protector and glove
£120 per year or
£10 per month for 12 months by standing order ONLY
Fencing with Club kit - this includes a monthly equipment hire fee. Members are free to take home the personal items hired to them for the duation, this ensures Hygeine etc s kit is not passed around!
£180 per year assuming all equipment is hired ( reduced for each item of personal equipment)
£15 per month for 12 months by standing order ONLY
Hire charges are:- Jacket and Plastron £1.50 each per month, Mask £1 per month and chest protector and glove £0.50 per month each - Total £5 maximum. We also offer a subsidised purchase scheme to help and encourage purchase of personal equipment- exclusive to Celtic Sword Club members - ask for details.
